Competition Overview
- No genre restrictions — all types of games are welcome.
- Eligibility: If your game is already released, it must have fewer than 5,000 downloads.
- Prizes:
- 🥇 1st Place — $500
- 🥈 2nd Place — $250
- Teams/Groups: Allowed! Prize money will be split among members.
- Judging Date: February 28th at 12:00 PM (VGC).
- Format: Games will be judged by a panel of selected judges (not audience voting).
Eligibility & Submissions
- Registration Required: Teams/individuals must register in advance and provide basic details about their game.
- Playable Game Needed: Prototypes, alphas, and betas are allowed, but your game must be in a playable state.
- Platform: Games must be made for PC or mobile.
- Hardware: Bring your own device(s) if possible. If you need help with setup, please contact us beforehand.
Showcase & Setup
- Setup Window: Teams must arrive before judging begins at noon. You will have setup time prior to judging.
- Showcase Hours: Games will be open for community playtesting for one hour before and one hour after judging.
- Provided: Power and a table will be available at your station.
- Bring Your Own: Marketing/signage for your game — this helps your booth look professional and attract players.
Judging Criteria
Judges will score games based on:
- Creativity & Innovation
- Gameplay & Mechanics
- Art, Audio, & Presentation
- Technical Execution
- Overall Impression
Audience Involvement
- There will be no People’s Choice award.
- However, this is a great opportunity for playtesting and feedback from the community.
Rules & Restrictions
- No inappropriate content (hate speech, NSFW, etc.).
- All work must be original or properly licensed.
Prizes & Recognition
- Prize Distribution: Scholarship awards (split evenly for teams).
- Promotion: Top games (winning team or top 3) will be featured on our Esports livestream.
